Title: All Grace Abounds
Main Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:8
Service: May 31st, 2026
Theme: Great Grace
Main Scripture
2 Corinthians 9:8“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.”
Main Message
Grace does not stop at salvation. God’s grace is not only what saves us; it also sustains us, empowers us, transforms us, strengthens us in weakness, and equips us to live a victorious Christian life. Every believer is expected to grow in grace and walk in the fullness of what God has made available.
Key Points
1. Grace Begins Where Human Strength Ends
Grace begins when we recognize that we cannot save, fix, or sustain ourselves by our own strength. God is the One who is able to make all grace abound.
Apostle Paul said, “By the grace of God I am what I am” according to 1 Corinthians 15:10. This reminds us that whatever we become in God is not because of our personal effort alone, but because of His grace working in us.
Lesson: Stop depending only on your own strength. Depend on the grace of God.
2. Grace Is a Gift, Not a Reward
Grace is not earned by spiritual achievement. It is not a salary or a reward for good behavior. Grace is the gift of God through Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8-9 reminds us that we are saved by grace through faith, not by works, so that no one can boast.
Lesson: Grace removes boasting because it points all glory back to God.
3. Grace Does Not Lower God’s Standard
Grace does not mean God ignores sin or lowers His standard. Instead, grace reveals how Jesus fulfilled God’s perfect standard on our behalf.
Through Jesus, condemnation is removed, but transformation is still required. Grace is not cheap; it cost the blood of Jesus on the cross.
Lesson: Grace does not give us permission to live carelessly. It gives us power to live righteously.
4. Grace Is Not Just an Idea — Grace Is Jesus
Grace is not only a doctrine or a religious concept. Grace is revealed in the person of Jesus Christ.
John 1:14 says Jesus came full of grace and truth. When Jesus touched lepers, ate with sinners, forgave the guilty, and saved the thief on the cross, He demonstrated grace in action.
Lesson: Grace is personal. Grace walks with us, helps us, speaks to us, and empowers us daily.
5. Grace Empowers Change, Not Passive Living
Grace is not an excuse for spiritual stagnation. It empowers real and lasting transformation.
Romans 6:1-2 asks, “Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?” The answer is, “God forbid.”
Grace teaches us to deny ungodliness, worldly lusts, and sinful living. It trains us to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world.
Lesson: A person who has received grace should also pursue obedience, holiness, and spiritual growth.
6. Grace Strengthens Us in Weakness
God may not always remove every burden, pressure, or challenge immediately, but His grace gives us strength to endure and overcome.
When Apostle Paul cried out to God concerning his weakness, God answered that His grace was sufficient and His strength was made perfect in weakness.
Lesson: Grace may not remove the battle immediately, but it gives strength to stand and overcome.
7. Grace Shapes Our Identity, Relationships, and Daily Life
Grace affects how we see ourselves and how we treat others. A forgiven believer should also forgive others.
Ephesians 4:32 teaches us to be kind, compassionate, and forgiving, just as God forgave us in Christ.
Grace is not a one-time moment. It is a daily movement in the life of the believer.
Lesson: If we have truly received grace, it should show in our character, forgiveness, relationships, and daily decisions.
8. Grace and Mercy Are Available at God’s Throne
Hebrews 4:16 tells us to come boldly to the throne of grace so we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Mercy deals with our past, our sins, and our mess. Grace gives us empowerment, provision, and strength for the future.
Lesson: Believers should approach God boldly, knowing that mercy will speak and grace will provide.
9. Grace Multiplies Through Knowledge
2 Peter 1:2-3 teaches that grace and peace are multiplied through the knowledge of God and Jesus Christ.
If a believer’s knowledge of God stops at salvation, they may miss the many dimensions of grace available for life, godliness, business, family, health, service, and purpose.
Lesson: The more we know God, the more we can walk in the grace He has made available.
Prayer Points From the Sermon
Father, enough is enough of living in ignorance of what You have made available to me.
Father, increase my knowledge of You.
Father, help me to walk and live in grace daily.
Father, give me grace to live holy and walk righteously.
Father, give me grace for spiritual growth, prayer, faith, love, and understanding of Your Word.
Father, give me grace to overcome temptation.
Father, let Your grace surround me with favor as with a shield.
Father, open doors that no man can shut.
Father, give me grace for marriage, career, wisdom, creativity, diligence, and favor.
Father, release financial grace and grace for stewardship.
Father, give me grace for physical health, emotional strength, and mental strength.
Father, give me grace to serve You faithfully without struggle.
Declarations
I declare that the grace of God is working mightily in my life. I receive grace for holiness, wisdom, favor, prosperity, good health, fruitful relationships, spiritual growth, and kingdom service. Every day, I will experience fresh manifestations of God’s grace. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ will sustain me, strengthen me, and establish me.
Closing Blessing
The grace of God will be at work on every side. No more struggling. No more shame. No more rejection. You will be the delighted one. You will be the chosen one. God will put power in your voice and give you the wisdom to say the right thing and make the right decision.
Final Takeaway
Grace is more than salvation. Grace is the power of God that saves, sustains, teaches, strengthens, transforms, provides, heals, and helps the believer finish well. To walk in grace, believers must grow in the knowledge of God, approach His throne boldly, and depend on Him daily.
